Our visit to South Africa promises a diverse and enriching experience, starting with the vibrant city of Cape Town. Nestled between the iconic Table Mountain and the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town boasts a rich blend of history and modernity. We will explore the historic Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, and take a cable car ride up Table Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views.
We will venture into Stellenbosch, an enchanting town in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Here, you can indulge in a wine-tasting extravaganza at renowned vineyards, experiencing the flavors of South African wines. A scenic wine tram journey through picturesque landscapes offers a unique and leisurely way to savor the region's finest vintages.
Finally, for an unforgettable wildlife experience, we will head to Kruger National Park, a sprawling haven for diverse fauna. We’ll embark on thrilling safari adventures to witness the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros) and be immersed in the untamed beauty of the African wilderness. South Africa promises a remarkable blend of cultural richness, natural beauty, and unforgettable experiences for every traveler.
Arrive in Cape Town. You’ll be greeted at the airport and taken to our hotel, where you’ll have time to unpack and relax. Depending on arrival times and level of fatigue, we’ll spend the afternoon exploring, including a visit to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, a delightful experience. Set against the backdrop of Table Mountain, the garden features a remarkable array of indigenous plants, beautifully landscaped gardens, and tree-canopy walkways, providing a tranquil and educational escape in a stunning natural setting.

Cape Point, located at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the rugged coastline and the meeting of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. While there, you will explore the iconic lighthouse, hike scenic trails, and spot diverse wildlife, including the endemic Mountain Zebra and Cape Fur Seals, in the stunning Cape Point Nature Reserve.

Seeing Robben Island is a poignant and historically significant experience. Table Mountain offers a breathtaking experience as you ascend the iconic flat-topped mountain via cable car or hike to the summit. We’ll take a scenic drive back via Chapmans Peak, with a stop in Hout Bay for lunch.

Franschhoek is a picturesque town in the Western Cape of South Africa, is a delightful experience for lovers of wine, gourmet cuisine, and stunning scenery. Known as the ‘Food and Wine Capital of South Africa,’ Franschhoek is home to world-class vineyards, award-winning restaurants, and a charming village atmosphere, making it a perfect destination for a culinary and cultural escape in the heart of the Cape Winelands.
The Franschhoek Wine Tram in South Africa offers a unique and picturesque way to explore the renowned wineries of the Franschhoek Valley. Passengers hop aboard vintage-style trams or open-air tram-buses, enjoying scenic views of vineyards, rolling hills, and charming Cape Dutch architecture while stopping at multiple wineries for tastings and tours.

We take a 3 hour flight across the country to the iconic Greater Kruger National Park. But first we will spend a few days in the vicinity visiting Moholoholo and the Blyde River Canyon.

Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Hoedspruit, South Africa, is a renowned facility dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wild animals. From breakfast we will follow the Blyde River Canyon enroute to the Sabi Sands. Blyde River Canyon, nestled in the scenic Mpumalanga province of South Africa, captivates visitors with its breathtaking beauty and towering cliffs. As one of the largest green canyons in the world, it boasts stunning panoramas, lush vegetation, and the iconic Three Rondavels rock formation, making it a must-see destination for nature enthusiasts.
We will be staying in a privately owned section of the greater Kruger affording us exclusive game viewing away from the more commercial sectors open to the general public.
Kruger National Park is one of Africa’s largest and most renowned wildlife reserves, situated in northeastern South Africa. Covering nearly two million hectares, the park is home to an astonishing array of wildlife, including the “Big Five:” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), as well as numerous other species of animals, birds, and flora. It offers an unparalleled safari experience with the opportunity to see these animals in their natural habitat, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts and conservation efforts.
After settling in we will embark on our first Game drive.

From our lodge we will do morning and afternoon game drives when the animals are most active giving us the middle of the day to relax, enjoy the Spa or even go on a bushwalk with our safari ranger.
Visiting Sabi Sands within the greater Kruger National Park offers an exclusive and exceptional safari experience in one of South Africa’s most renowned wildlife reserves. Here, we will embark on thrilling game drives and guided safaris to witness the “Big Five” and other incredible wildlife, all while enjoying luxurious accommodations in a pristine African wilderness setting.
In an effort to increase the conservation area of the Kruger, private properties have dropped fences and wildlife moves freely between these properties. There are 42 landowners who collectively call themselves the Sabi Sands (named for the two rivers that run through the area). Of these, only half are commercial with lodges.
Ulusaba is owned by Richard Branson and has an incredible program to enrich the poorer neighbouring communities.

Today we will travel to Johannesburg for our flights home. We’ll say goodbye to our new friends and take home memories of our amazing adventures.

Van der Stel Manor House is a lovingly restored Cape Dutch homestead within walking distance to Stellenbosch’s charming village centre and the ideal place to relax and enjoy your stay in the Winelands. It is located close to some fine restaurants and wineries, several golf courses and only 30 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. The stylish deluxe suites and rooms are individually decorated in fresh elegant fabrics, each with a private patio and direct access to the garden and pool. Delicious breakfasts, light meals with fresh seasonal ingredients and superb wines are served under the old trees in the beautiful garden.
Nestled beneath the majestic Drakensberg mountains lies Moholoholo Forest Camp, an intimate lodge situated amongst Africa’s huge Quinine trees and home to a variety of bird and animal species. Forest Camp and the world-renowned Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is set on the same property of roughly 420 hectares and an all-inclusive visit to the Centre is “an experience of a lifetime”. Forest Camp focuses on personal attention and flexibility, and provides a unique opportunity to experience both forest and savannah wildlife and is also a bird lovers’ paradise. The peace and tranquillity of the lodge will appeal to those who wish to escape the city noise and soak up the true African bush.
Ulusaba is Sir Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa. Ulusaba has 20 rooms and suites spread over two lodges: Rock Lodge, including the beautiful Cliff Lodge, and Safari Lodge. The name Ulusaba means ‘place of little fear’, so named because the koppie, or hill, on which Rock Lodge sits provided the ancient Shangaan tribal warriors with the perfect lookout point.

Payments: As soon as we receive your down payment, we will confirm your reservations and at this point, all change and cancellation policies will be in effect. KikiNetwork Travel will send you a finalized itinerary which will contain all necessary information including confirmation numbers, addresses, and phone numbers. We must receive 40% of the trip cost when you register for the trip. The full cost of the trip must be paid 45 days prior to the start date of the trip.
Forms of Payment: We accept checks and credit cards (American Express, Visa, and MasterCard). There is a 3.9 processing fee for credit cards. If you pay by check there is no additional fee. You will need to mail the check to Kiki Keating, PO Box 223, Georges Mills, NH 03751.
Airfare/Visas/Special Permits: You are responsible for your flight to the place of the trip departure. I am happy to advise and recommend the best flights for you. Please email me at kiki@kikinetwork.com for more details.
You must obtain any necessary visas and travel permits for all countries that you will be traveling to or transiting through, and I will inform you of any visa needs. Visa and entry requirements may vary depending on your nationality, the length of your stay, and the purpose of your visit. Please make certain that your passport is valid for at least six months after the latest expected end date of your planned trip, as some countries will not allow entry if your passport expires sooner.
Health and Safety Matters: Please visit your local hospital Travel Clinic. Your doctor will let you know what, if any, vaccinations or other health or safety precautions are necessary or recommended for your destinations. We are not physicians, and nothing we say should be interpreted as professional medical advice. Government health advisories can be found on the internet at: http://www.cdc.gov and http://www.who.int
Cancellations: In addition to any cancellation penalties related to trip components we are not responsible for (e.g. permits, airfare, travel insurance, etc.), the following fees will apply: 25% of trip cost up to 45 days before travel date; 50% of trip cost between 45 to 30 days prior to travel date; cancellations made within 30 days of travel date are non-refundable. Cancellation penalties apply as soon as we have received payment. Cancellations for any reason whatsoever, including medical reasons, death in the family, strikes, wars, weather, natural disasters, airline default, or government travel warnings will not entitle you to any refund in the case of nonrefundable reservations. Trip cancellation and interruption insurance is required.
Insurance: Insurance is required for any KikiNetwork Travel trip. KikiNetwork Travel requires an insurance plan with 100% of trip cost insured, $150,000 of emergency assistance and transportation, and a minimum of $50,000 medical evacuation coverage. Responsibility/Release and Assumption of Risk: By paying and signing up for a KikiNetwork Travel trip you are agreeing to the following statement; I understand and am aware that during the travel itinerary in which I will participate under the arrangements of KikiNetwork Travel and its agents or subcontractors, certain risks and dangers may arise, including but not limited to the hazards of traveling in unsafe areas or under unsafe conditions, the dangers of civil disturbance and war, the forces of nature, disease, hotels, tour operators or subcontractors. In consideration of, and as part of the payment for, the right to participate in such travel itineraries, I have and do hereby expressly assume all of the above risks. The terms of this agreement shall serve as a release and express assumption of risk for myself, my heirs, assignees, administrators, executors, and all members of my family, including any minors accompanying me. I have read and fully understand the provisions and the legal consequences of this Release and Assumption of Risk and I hereby agree to all its conditions, especially noting and agreeing to the portion of this provision that releases the Company and its agents, employees, officers, associates, and subcontractors, to the extent permitted by law, from liability for the negligent or reckless acts or omissions of the Company’s affiliated companies or subcontractors.
