No Latin American destination matches the drama of Argentina—be it the passionate tango or the highest peaks of the Andes rising from the flat plains. Having welcomed more European immigrants in the 19th and 20th centuries than any country in the world beside the United States, Argentina is a melting pot of cultures, cuisines and experiences. The language is Spanish, but the accent is Italian and the architecture is French. This trip highlights include, but are not limited to: vast Patagonia, the winelands of Mendoza and the cultural hub of Buenos Aires
We will start our trip in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Buenos Aires is on everyone’s must-visit list these days—and for good reason. Argentina’s capital city is experiencing an exceptionally buzzing, magnetic period, full of enticing travelers from around the globe with its exquisite cuisine, sultry tango bars and fascinating political and artistic history. graffiti-covered warehouses. Our trip will continue to El Calafate for more great outdoors and venture to glacial treks in Patagonia and Puertos Natales.
Everyone flies into Buenos Aires and stay at Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt then enjoy an afternoon at leisure in the beautiful city followed by a group dinner at Sucre.

Meet for morning tour. On your tour, you will see the Plaza de Mayo, or May Square, Buenos Aires’ original city center; the Pink House, Argentina’s version of the American White House; the old market; the Cathedral, the former seat of Pope Francis; the Cabildo, a former colonial government building that is now a museum; the Pyramid of May, the city’s oldest national monument which commemorates the May Revolution and the inception of Argentina’s independence movement; and the Palace of the Argentine National Congress, an enormous, beautiful building that serves as the seat of Argentina’s legislative branch.
Explore the elegant Recoleta neighborhood, where the main attractions include Alvear Avenue, an upscale thoroughfare, Anchorena Palace, an elegant mansion now housing the embassy of the Holy See, and Estrugamou Palace, a key example of French architecture in Buenos Aires, often dubbed the “Paris of South America.” See the Recoleta Cemetery, where the most prominent personalities of the country are buried. A testament to the wealth and pride of the families that built Buenos Aires into the grand capital that it is, the cemetery feels like a small city of ornate burial temples. Eva Perón’s gravesite always draws the largest crowds.
Finally, you will stroll through San Telmo, a charming quarter filled with antique shops, excellent restaurants and artwork.

You will meet your guide in the hotel lobby in the morning to visit Perito Moreno for a glacier trek. Although the Southern Patagonian Ice Field feeds nearly 50 glaciers, Perito Moreno is arguably the most famous. Located two hours from El Calafate, Perito Moreno is one of only three Patagonian glaciers not retreating. It advances an average of two meters per day, and its face stretches five kilometers across Lago Argentina. The ice towers 60 meters above the water and reaches a depth of 170 meters below the surface.
We will begin your visit with a boat ride to the visitor center, where the ice trekking excursion departs. This safe excursion offers the unique experience of walking on an actual glacier. Crampons and guides are required for both the two-hour trek and the more challenging “Big Ice” tour.
Following the ice climb, your guide will drive you to the northern side of the glacier, where the park installed a circuit of wooden catwalks that offer unparalleled views of Perito Moreno. This is also the point from which 17,000 travelers gathered in March 2006 to watch a gigantic ice bridge rupture. As the glacier advances, it eventually hits a series of cliffs that divide the two sides of Lago Argentina. The water level rises, and the pressure begins to chip away the underbelly of the ice, creating a soaring frozen arch attaching the glacier to the land. The collapse is truly spectacular.
